As we wrap up 2024, we're excited to bring you our final release of the year, with features and improvements to enhance your Mazévo experience. This release sets the stage for 2025, where we look forward to continuing to innovate and deliver even more tools to streamline your scheduling processes. Here's what's new:

New Features

1. Event Inquiry Page

Now, you can create a dedicated event inquiry page directly within Mazévo. This feature allows individuals without a Mazévo account to submit event requests to your organization. The inquiry form collects basic event details like date, time, attendance, and preferred location—making the process simple for you and your customers.

2. Improved Personal Calendar Integration

Mazévo will now automatically send a .ics calendar file to anyone who submits a request. This file makes it easy for them to add the event to their Outlook or Google calendar. Additionally, requesters will receive a .ics file with their Mazévo confirmation email for seamless scheduling.

3. Enhanced Course Import Options

Mazévo's course importer now supports character and number formats for days of the week, in addition to the traditional positional format. For example, a Monday, Wednesday, Friday class can be entered as "MWF" or "246." This flexible format simplifies the import process and minimizes formatting errors.

4. Secondary Approval Notifications

When only one secondary approval is required, Mazévo now displays the name of the specific approval notification for better clarity. Previously, the name of secondary approval was only available when there were multiple approvals.

5. Updated Wording for Room Diagrams

We've updated the default wording for room diagrams in reports to "Click here for room diagram" to make navigation more transparent and intuitive.

6. Notification Email Improvements

All Mazévo notification emails now include a statement explaining why the recipient receives the email. This statement was previously limited to certain types of notifications, but now it's standard across all emails for added transparency.

Bug Fixes

  • Email Notifications for Service Providers: Resolved an issue where emails were not sent in certain configurations.
  • Long Resource Descriptions: We fixed a problem where long descriptions did not wrap properly for requesters, causing content to be cut off.
  • Excluded Dates: Corrected an issue where excluded dates were not displaying correctly when editing academic terms.
  • Custom Branding in Firefox: Fixed a bug that prevented custom branding logos from displaying correctly in Firefox browsers.
  • Room Availability with Security Policies: Addressed an issue where users with global security group policies couldn't view room availability.

If you have any questions about these new features or need assistance, our team is here to help. Stay tuned for more updates, and thank you for using Mazévo!
