We're excited to announce the latest Mazévo update for October 8th, 2024, featuring new enhancements and bug fixes based on customer feedback. Updates roll out automatically every 2-3 weeks, as we strive to improve your event management experience.
Configuration Updates
Room Features
You can now define specific rooms' features, such as a built-in projector, whiteboard, etc. Users can then quickly find rooms with these features when reserving a space.
Building Hours - Improved Date Selector
There is an improved calendar date selector for choosing specific dates for your building hours. This selector allows you to select multiple dates at a time from a calendar. Previously, you had to select each specific date individually.
Room Sign Updates
See Setup and Teardown Time on Room Sign
The room sign now includes an option to display any scheduled room setup and teardown time in addition to the event. Previously, the sign only displayed the event time, making the room look available during setup and teardown time.
Display Room Closures
The room sign now displays when you close a room from the room settings screen. Previously, there was no way to tell a room was closed from the room sign.
Academic Updates
Add resources to courses
You can now add resources to imported courses. Previously, you could only add resources to events in Mazévo.
Scheduled Email Updates
Schedule emails based on location
You can now filter by location when a scheduled email is triggered by Service, Event Type, Organization Type, and Attendance. Previously, if you wanted a scheduled email to be triggered by a service, say AV, there was no way to say that you only wanted that email triggered when the AV was being used in building 1.
Set Individual Reply To Email Address
We recently introduced the ability to configure a "reply to" email address for all your scheduled emails. You can now specify the reply to email address for each of your scheduled emails. Previously, you could specify a global reply to email address that would apply to all your scheduled emails, but there was no way to override it for any specific scheduled email.
Confirmation Link Option for Manual Scheduled Emails
You can now include a confirmation link when a manually scheduled email is configured. Previously, only "triggered" scheduled emails could include a confirmation link.
Other Updates
Mark all Messages as Read Option
You can now mark all messages as being read.
Published report emails disabled for inactive users.
Mazévo will no longer email published reports if the report owner is inactive or is not allowed to access reports. You will see a Caution icon next to any such reports.
Improved Visibility of Booking Changes for Secondary Approvers
Secondary Approvers can now view details about resource and booking changes. Previously, they were notified when a booking change occurred, but they could not see the change that triggered the need for approval.
Advanced Find Events - Display up to 50 columns
You can now display up to 50 columns of data in Advanced Find Events. Previously, you could only view up to 25 columns of data.
Bugs Fixed
We addressed several issues in this release, including the following.
- Resources could be added twice if you accidentally double-clicked the add button.
- Some users were getting logged out of Mazévo multiple times per day.
- In some instances, the Day at a Glance Requests page did not show the number of requests.
- A new user's security policy setting was not being honored at the next login.
- Booking ID was not displaying in Advanced Find Events for resources
- In some instances, a requester could request a change to a room assignment that was beyond the capacity for their event.
- In some instances, a requester could request a change to a room assignment that exceeds the building's hours of operation.
