What Security Role is Required for Operations

Operations is a tool used by two different types of users: the operations manager and the service worker.

Roles used by Operations

The operations tools use two primary roles: the Service Manager and the Service Worker.

A user with the service manager role can select other users as members of their staff (users with the service worker role) and assign work (services and work items) to those staff members. A manager can also assign themselves as the worker for a service and mark the booking as ready by clicking on Set as Ready from the booking screen. A user with the service manager role can also mark work as In Progress or Complete, add notes, and upload photos for a service.

A user with the service worker role can mark a service as In Progress or Completed, add notes to a service, and upload photos for a service. Users with this role can not assign other workers to perform a service.

A user with the service manager role will see the menu option as Manage Operations, while a user with the service worker role will see it displayed as Operations.
