This article explains what account codes are and how to use them to add a general ledger account to rooms and resources.
Overview
Account codes are essential for tracking revenue by general ledger account. You can analyze revenue more effectively by assigning account numbers/codes to rooms and resources.
Adding Account Codes to Rooms
- Navigate to Settings: Go to Settings > Pricing Plans. You'll see a list of all defined pricing plans.
- Manage Account Codes: Click Manage Account Codes. You'll find tabs for rooms and resources.
- Select Rooms: Click the Rooms tab. Select one or more rooms by checking the box next to their names. You can sort the list and use the search functionality.
- Apply Account Code: Click Apply Account Code, enter the account code, and click Save. This will assign the account code to the selected rooms.
- Note: If a room already has an account code, it will be overwritten with the new one.
- Remove Account Code: To remove an account code, click Remove Account Code instead of Apply Account Code.

- Select Resources: Click the Resources tab. Select one or more resources by checking the box next to their names. You can sort the list and use the search functionality.
- Apply Account Code: Click Apply Account Code, enter the account code, and click Save. This will assign the account code to the selected resources.
- Note: If a resource already has an account code, it will be overwritten with the new one.
- Remove Account Code: To remove an account code, click Remove Account Code instead of Apply Account Code.
