The two best sources of information on how to get the most out of your Mazévo system are our customer support team and other Mazévo users. To make it easier for our customers to share ideas, we’ve started a new program called Mazévo Connect.

These online meetings will take place 10-12 times per year with a specific topic focus and often including a presentation by a Mazévo user. Our first session took place on September 30, 2021, and feedback from attendees was very positive.

“How We Embraced Mobile and Moved Our Setup Staff to Mazévo Ops”

Lindee McCurley, assistant director of the Boling University Center at the University of Tennessee at Martin, graciously agreed to share her organization’s experience in “going mobile” with Mazévo and enabling setup team members to get the information they need on their mobile devices. Her session, titledHow We Embraced Mobile and Moved Our Setup Staff to Mazévo Ops, was a hit with attendees—many of whom have not yet rolled out the Mazévo Mobile app at their organization.

In the presentation, Lindee explained that UTM implemented Mazévo in spring 2021, having decided it was time to move on from the outdated scheduling system the school had been using. Today, the university manages space in five buildings with Mazévo—two of which Lindee oversees.

The school’s implementation took place in two phases. In the first, setup crew members downloaded two apps to their mobile devices: Mazévo Mobile and Adobe Acrobat (for viewing setup diagram PDFs). Very quickly they got familiar with the system and were ready to start using it. Next, student staff downloaded the two apps and got up-to-speed with Mazévo.

Lindee’s Daily Mazévo Routine

Lindee’s presentation includes specifics on how she uses Mazévo in her daily work—information that’s helpful both to other Mazévo users and to schedulers who are considering switching to the system. The details she provides help answer the question that’s common when people are evaluating a new scheduling solution: “The features sound great, but how would we use them in our day-to-day operations?” Lindee tells you!

From user permissions and setup diagrams to the prevention of double bookings and the ability to see the progress setup crews are making throughout the day, Lindee touched on some of the system’s most important features and why they’re vital to UTM.
